Hi there,
It would be great if we can do recursive append to zip archive, rather than just appending single files. Otherwise it might be tedious for scenarios when we are trying to create a xrootd zip archive from directories that might contain millions of files.

Currently trying to do this results in an error:

$ xrdcp -C md5 --zip-append reports reports.zip
xrdcp: reports is a directory.

Appreciate if that can be looked at - it would make a massive difference for our data migration scenarios.

Thanks
Suzana
