I've also tried enabling the openssl legacy provider directly on the server. Still no luck I'm afraid.

[root@p ~]# update-crypto-policies --show
LEGACY:SHA1
[root@p ~]# openssl list -providers
Providers:
  default
    name: OpenSSL Default Provider
    version: 3.0.7
    status: active
  legacy
    name: OpenSSL Legacy Provider
    version: 3.0.7
    status: active
