Thanks, @bbockelm . I think this issue can be closed, because in terms of software the problem is solved. Since a sizable fraction of servers/redirectors in the CMS AAA federation is affected, we need some campaign within CMS to get prepared for clients linked against more modern OpenSSL versions.
