Dear XRootD community, XRootD 5.6.2 has been released last Friday. Please follow the link below to see the release notes: https://github.com/xrootd/xrootd/releases/tag/v5.6.2 Please note that RPMs are available in the usual places: https://xrootd.slac.stanford.edu/binaries/stable/slc https://xrootd.web.cern.ch/sw/releases/ https://xrootd.web.cern.ch/sw/repos/stable/slc/ https://storage-ci.web.cern.ch/storage-ci/xrootd However, we are working on migrating to a single new official repository to be able to simplify the release procedure starting with XRootD 5.7.0. Provisionally, new repositories can be found at https://xrootd.web.cern.ch/repo/stable and matching repo files can be found at found at https://xrootd.web.cern.ch/xrootd.repo (CentOS 7, Alma 8, and Alma 9) https://xrootd.web.cern.ch/xrootd-fedora.repo (Fedora 38) The new provisional stable repositories have the last version of XRootD 4.x, and a few recent versions of XRootD 5.x. The final official repository location will be announced when XRootD 5.7.0 is released, and may be different than the current location. Please note that the RPMs for XRootD 5.6.2 with release version 2 (i.e. 5.6.2-2) contain a patch to fix issue #2088, filed after the release.
