Hello all,

We are trying to create xrootd standalone containers to run TPC transferences. We are using AlmaLinux 8 (we also tested 9) and xrootd 5.6.7-1.

We can run TPC transferences using xrootd protocol but we are interested in using multiuser capability. When we add the multiuser libraries, we see this error:

[ERROR] Local error: permission denied:  (destination)\x00

And in the destination xrootd log:

ofs_Run: /bin/xrdcp ended with status 54

I do not know if this is a known issue or if something is missing in our configuration. We also tried modifying OSG xrootd standalone containers to enable TPC with the same result.

Furthermore, we would like to try HTTP protocol but when we try to access the server with our proxy we receive an error related to the CA of our certificate:

240220 16:54:16 2764 XrdTLS: CertVerify: Failing cert issuer=/C=NL/O=GEANT Vereniging/CN=GEANT TCS Authentication RSA CA 4B
240220 16:54:16 2764 XrdTLS: CertVerify: Error 24 at depth 1 [invalid CA certificate]

This only happens with HTTP protocol, accessing with root:// we do not see this error. We are using 1.26.1 igft certs...

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Carles
