I 've heard no real complaints about my proposed strategy for the mask/LUM layout, so I think the versions on the web are useable as is. Let me expand on the rationale: it was apparent to me from the various workshops that understanding the forward acceptance is quite important. Also it seems to be the case that mask designs are still unsettled. So, this strategy of a minimal mask (probably just there as a reminder that we need a mask!) and a LUM that is active over most of the remaining solid angle allows us to study effects of restricting acceptance. A fat dead mask would not tell us anything about that. I made a further small mod to the ini files in which the mask cone meets up with the beampipe at z=10cm. This has no efect on calorimeter or tracking acceptance. The web versions of the .ini files are up to date. We can start up the full simulations!
