Higgs/Susy Higgs Circle Line Tour talks --------------------------------------- The case for a new accelerator for particle physics experimentation beyond the LHC is a pressing issue for the worldwide community of high energy physics. Several flavors of electron colliders, muon colliders, and various schemes for new opportunities in hadron colliders have been proposed. There are many issues to confront in reaching a consensus on the appropriate direction to take, but at the heart of these is the physics case for each. The discussion is complicated by the variety of possible physics results in the near and intermediate future at LEP, Tevatron and LHC. The second pair of a series of 'CIRCLE LINE TOUR' talks will be held at Fermilab, focussing on the potential for Higgs and Susy Higgs studies: Thursday, October 21: Hitoshi Murayama (LBNL) "Higgs and Susy Higgs Studies at Linear Colliders" Thursday, October 28: Daniel Denegri (Saclay) "Higgs and Susy Higgs Studies at the LHC" Both talks will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 at Fermilab in the 1 West Conference room. The time will be roughly evenly divided between the talks and discussion and questioning. Refreshments and informal discussion will precede/follow the talks. We invite all to join in this discussion of our future directions. A web page has been set up announcing the series, and giving links to papers giving useful background for the individual talks. We expect to videotape the talks and discussions, and will provide webcast access to these in the near future. Copies of the talks, questions prepared by the interrogators and speakers answers are/will be on the web page. http:/www-theory.fnal.gov/CircleLine/ Planned future talks include: o high energy (mumu) Collider capabilities Bill Marciano (BNL) Nov. 11 o Strong Coupling physics Sekhar Chivukula (Boston University) Dec. 2 Paul Grannis ([log in to unmask]) Chris Quigg ([log in to unmask]) (co-organizers)
