Dear Colleagues,
The DoE is expected to announce a new program
for the support of Linear Collider Machine and
Detector R&D at the Santa Cruz Linear Collider
Retreat, June 27-29, at the University of California
at Santa Cruz. These funds could support work by
DoE groups involved in the LC R&D efforts currently
being organized at Fermilab and SLAC.
Members of the US HEP Community interested in submitting
an LC R&D proposal to the DOE, should plan to attend
an organizational meeting to be held at Santa Cruz on
Sunday, June 30.
Please register for the meeting through the Santa Cruz
website: http://scipp.ucsc.edu/LC/. Be sure to reserve
accommodations for your additional stay.
The American Linear Collider Physics Group will
facilitate coordination of all R&D efforts, DoE and
NSF. You should declare your R&D interests by
communicating a short description to the appropriate ALCPG
Working Group Leader (listed on the above website) ASAP.
The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the features
of the new DOE program with an Agency Representative, review
the research plans from interested groups, and make plans
for proposal writing and submission.
