Follow-up Comment #2, bug #93876 (project xrootd):
Thanks for the information.
When I remove sss directive from xrootdfs mount and comment out
the security directive in the data server. I am able to
become the user through su command and create the directory.
Here is the relevant section of the data server xrootd log -
120420 03:58:53 31305 acc_Audit: xrootd.26325:27@atl008 grant unix
[log in to unmask] stat /atlas/local/goshaw
120420 03:58:53 31305 ofs_stat: xrootd.26325:27@atl008 Unable to locate
/atlas/local/goshaw; No such file or directory
120420 03:58:53 31305 acc_Audit: xrootd.26325:27@atl008 grant unix
[log in to unmask] mkdir /atlas/local/goshaw
120420 03:58:53 31305 acc_Audit: xrootd.26325:27@atl008 grant unix
[log in to unmask] stat /atlas/local/goshaw
