It seems like an issue with the script that fetches Geant4 data:
SimDist/scripts/install-geant4-data.sh
The relevant error I see in your file is "/bin/sh: line 3: -nv: command
not found" - this matches "wget -nv -P ${datadir}" in the script above.
It's a strange error and I don't know what to suggest from there but
hopefully it's a starting point.
What OS are you doing this on? Also want to know what shell you're using,
and version numbers for make, cmake, wget, cvs.
Wild guess: is it possible you're running make in an environment with a
different end-of-line character than the environment in which you ran cvs
(e.g. running CVS on Windows, copying the files to Linux, and running make
there)? I got bitten by a such a bug a while back, and it gave a similar
error from the shell.
