Hi,
I think the following will work to give you a working lcsim & hps java installation on your local machine....
Delete the ~/.m2/repository directory. (Don't worry, this is perfectly safe and can be easily rebuilt.)
Get the full trunk of lcsim from SVN and build it:
svn co svn://svn.freehep.org/lcdet/projects/lcsim/trunk/ lcsim
cd lcsim
mvn clean install -DskipTests=true
Get the full trunk of hps from SVN and build it:
svn co svn://svn.freehep.org/hps/java/trunk hps
cd hps
mvn clean install -DskipTests=true
Then check the hps build by running ' jar -jar ./distribution/target/hps-distribution-3.0-SNAPSHOT-bin.jar'.
Now you my install into your local repository any modules that you have checked out into your IDE with local modifications.
There were some bad lcsim snapshot jars that got injected into the remote repository during release testing,
and if you get build errors with hps java it is likely that these are being picked up somehow.
